What is the role of Apprentice DentalNurse at Bupa?

Our Dental Nurse Apprenticeship will supportand provide you with the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Behaviourson your journey to becoming a GDC registered qualified dentalnurse. This includes;

  • Enabling you to provide the best patient carefrom the moment someone walks into one of our practices until thepoint they leave.
  • Supporting our Dental professionals, and providing themwith the necessary chair-side assistance, enabling them to deliverthe highest level of patient care.
  • Working as an Apprentice Dental Nurse meansyou can "earn whilst you learn".
What qualificationsyou will achieve as an Apprentice DentalNurse?

You will achieve a Level 3 qualification following an18-24 month training programme. Before taking your end-pointassessment, you must achieve level 2 English and Maths (equivalentto GCSEs at grades A* to C) if you have not already achieved themand can provide evidence confirming this.

  • Oral anatomy and physiology,respiratory and circulatory systems.
  • How infectious diseases are transmitted andprevented.
  • Dental materials, equipment, andresources.
  • How to deal with medicalemergencies.
