Nursery Early years assistant Room Leader/ Senior practitionerChildren's Day Nursery and Preschool Henley on Thames.Full or part time over 3.4 or 5 days per week.We are seeking an assistant Room Leader / senior practitioner for our outstanding day nursery in Henley on Thames. You will be responsible for assisting with the managing and overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care and leading a small committed team.The ideal candidate will have experience working within a nursery possess leadership skills, and have a passion for early childhood education.Duties of the Assistant Room Leader include:Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery roomDevelop and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plansSupervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptimeProvide guidance and support to nursery room staffMaintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concernsEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulationsCollaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and positive learning environmentThe ideal candidatePrevious experience working in childcare or early childhood educationStrong communication skills.A childcare / early years qualification at Level 3 or above.Ability to drive positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environmentA good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS)BenefitsGreat holiday allowance.A uniquely supportive environment with a focus on staff health and wellbeingCompetitive salaries with regular performance related pay reviewsChildcare discount and staff child spaces (depending on age/and space)Flexible working hours over 3 4 or 5 daysExcellent training opportunities.Staff events and discounts.If you are passionate about working with children, possess strong leadership skills, and have experience in early childhood education, we would love to hear from you.
