We are a fast-paced and growing e-commerce brand operating in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are looking to hire an experienced Inventory and Procurement Manager to oversee stock management across 200-250 SKUs for our five businesses (and growing). The ideal candidate will ensure optimal inventory levels, prevent over-ordering, and maintain sufficient stock to meet demand forecasts.

This role requires direct communication with suppliers in China, managing inventory across multiple locations, and ensuring our warehouses are always stocked to meet customer demand. The right individual will also implement systems and processes for accurate forecasting, cost management, and efficient stock replenishment.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory for 200-250 SKUs across 3 warehouse locations.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring no overstocking or stockouts.
  • Set up and manage forecasting systems for stock replenishment.
  • Supplier and Order Management:
  • Communicate with our China agents and suppliers to place and manage orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to optimise costs.
  • Arrange shipments, including container shipping or air freight, when needed.
  • Stock Location Coordination:
  • Manage inventory across multiple locations, ensuring stock availability in each.
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure stock is ready for shipping.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Use Excel or other tools to calculate and track the cost of goods.
  • Create reports on stock levels, forecast accuracy, and stock movements.
  • Provide updates to team members on inventory trends and forecasts.
  • Collaboration Across Teams:
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to adjust stock forecasts for trends, campaigns, or budget increases.
  • Work with the customer service team to identify and address product quality issues.
  • Proactively improve product quality through supplier discussions.
  • System Implementation:
  • Set up and maintain inventory management systems to streamline processes.
  • Ensure the team has live tracking of stock levels and demand.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of setting up inventory management and forecasting systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience with supplier negotiations and order management (preferably with Chinese suppliers).
  • Knowledge of freight management (arranging containers and air shipments).
  • Excellent communication skills for team coordination and supplier management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle a heavy workload efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for a driven and experienced individual to join our growing business and make a significant impact on our operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet the criteria above, we'd love to hear from you
