Financial Control Manager, Statutory Reporting

Day-to-day, you’ll beresponsible for the delivery and integrity of all product controlactivities for both the balance sheet and profit and loss tosupport statutory and external reporting. To do this, you’ll bereviewing key reporting metrics and evidence of associated controlsfor consistency.
In addition,you’ll be leading a team to deliver a full set of high quality andaccurate product level finance data to support the wider financial,statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements withinagreed timelines.
Your toppriorities willinclude:
- Complyingwith relevant policies and considering the adequacy andeffectiveness of our business’ controls on a regularbasis
- Leading your team to perform controlactivities and the delivery of the assigned workload withinreporting cycle deadlines
- Reviewing themonth-end production for all activities that sit within thegroup-wide banking architecture
- Beingresponsible for the balance sheet substantiation of product sourcebalances for our franchises and legalentities
- Helping the Financial Controller toprovide deposit expertise for all month-end activities andparticipating as an attendee or member in variouscommittees
- Ensuring the integrity of monthly,quarterly and annual financial information, including the balancesheet, profit and loss account and other supporting data for alldeposit products
- Providing your product supportexpertise to Business Unit Reporting and the Financial Controlfunction where support for our auditors is needed throughout thereportingcycle
To be successfulin this role, you’ll be a qualified accountant and have a record ofapplication within a business environment. You’ll also needexperience of working to tight deadlines and managing key financedeliverables and having the relevant commercialinsight.
Alongside this,you’ll need experience of leading global teams of financeprofessionals and delivering core financial controls and reportingoutputs, including balance sheet substantiation, statutory andmanagement reporting and externalaudits.
Furthermore, you'llneed:
- The abilityto build and enhance key relationships at a senior level, whileinfluencing and challenging asrequired
- Knowledge of change bestpractices
- Experience of delivering change inthe financial services industry or medium to largecorporates
- Experience of Oracle financialapplications and using the latest data management techniques andapplications, including Python, AWS andTableau
- Experience in statutory accountspreparation and reporting
