Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Market Analyst to be based in the UK/EU/USA working remotely.

Occasional business trips expected on the role.

Main Purpose

The Business Intelligence team has an exciting opportunity for a Market Analyst to order, gather, organize and curate market and business information relating to fluorine production, consumption and application in fluorocarbon applications, particularly pharma, refrigerant and sustainability applications to support the work of the Business Intelligence team and the teams it supports within Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials' Business Group.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the global commercialization strategy and go-to-market initiatives for solutions, and specific categories in the pharma, refrigerants and sustainability businesses with expected significant growth soon.
  • Support the Business Intelligence (BI) team to produce 10-year Orbia market projections, including supply-demand balances, for key Orbia products and products of interest, including refrigerants, medical propellants, fluoropolymers, other fluorochemicals and energy materials.
  • Support the BI team with up to date, high quality information on key end use dynamics, trends and projections for applications such as automotive (ICE and EV), pharma, energy storage, batteries, next generation refrigerants.
  • Curate third party information sources.
  • Curate business intelligence information on SharePoint for ease of access and distribution.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to deliver up to date market analysis.
  • Identify the right external partners, communicating with various agencies, vendors and other services to help BI projects come to fruition.

Qualifications

  • University/Master's degree in a scientific subject.

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • 5+ years' experience in market analysis in the Chemical/Pharma/Renewable Energies industry.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in a global environment would be desirable.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Packages.
