JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a critical role within NOV ISE where you will assist with ensuring the integrity of the certified quality system. You will work closely across the group supporting NOV ISE operations, aftermarket, product line and supply chain. The responsibilities as QA Technician is to exceed customer expectations, provide support for the daily activities of the QMS and enhance the quality of product/service provision within the facility. You will have the opportunity to use and advance your existing Quality skills to explore and develop methods of continuous improvement in alignment with our overall strategy and vision. Monitoring and controlling the day to day activities to ensure that they are delivering right first time and on time in an effective manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure all company policies surrounding stock, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met
  • Fully accountable for achieving all relevant KPIs
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems to measure and control quality in the production process
  • Assist with quality standards for individual products and set out the standards in documents and processes for the production team
  • Complete performance measurements and reporting requirements that set quality metrics for each stage of the production process
  • Create documentation, such as procedures, inspection test plans, etc. and establish requirements for records management, document control and control of electronic data from inspection processes
  • Work with operations to ensure that the QA/QC processes are integrated
  • Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective action
  • Take proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems - eliminating the causes of quality issues and reduce the risk of failure
  • Agree on standards with suppliers and implement inspection processes to monitor incoming material
  • Monitor suppliers' quality performance and implement corrective and preventative measures to deal with any quality issues
  • Supplying targets for yield improvements
  • Cost analysis and defect drive down - addressing non-conformance issues with production team
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Internal Auditor
EXPERIENCE:
  • Working knowledge within QA/QC of manufacturing environment
  • Understanding, implementing and improvement layered audit processes
SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of API Q1
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Knowledge of PED (2014/68/EU)
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques (sample plans, etc.)
