We have an exciting opportunityfor a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join us in a role thatwill initially be aligned to a major project in the North Westregion. Our team will be delivering a high value scheme to extendan existing MOJ facility inLancaster. 

 

Location: Lancaster / Manchester,Flexibility for some homeworking

Contract: Full Time,Permanent 

 

What will you be responsiblefor?

As Senior Project Quantity Surveyor you will be workingon a £100M value project from pre construction through tocompletion. The Senior Project Quantity Surveyor will work within aclose knit commercial team reporting to the Managing Q.S ensuringcommercial control of high value work packages ensuring adherenceto contract, management of risk and ongoing reporting for theCommercial Manager. 

 

Your day to daywill include:

  • Advisingon financial feasibility of projects at early stages
  • Organising the division of projects into component workpackages for procurement, assessing returns from sub-contractorsand awarding work packages.
  • Negotiating withsub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Managing applications for payment from sub contractorsand preparation of applications for payment to clients.
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure againstbudgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost ValueReconciliation Reports)

 

What are we lookingfor?

 

This role ofSenior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you candemonstrate:

  • Experienceworking on large 2 stage bids (desired)
  • StrongKnowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.
  • Prior experience of working within Main Contractingorganisations.
  • Demonstrable track record ofdelivering high value projects – up to £100M.
