What will you be responsiblefor?
As Quantity Surveyor you will be involved in a wide rangeof commercial duties to assist in the management andmitigation of cost and risk of the project, enhance value for moneyand ensure adherence to the required legal standards and qualityunder the specific agreed contractconditions.
Your day to day will include:
- Organising the division of projects intocomponent work packages for procurement.
- Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding workpackages.
- Negotiating with sub-contractorsupply chain to achieve best value.
- Managingapplications for payment from sub contractors
- Preparation of applications for payment toclients.
- Monitoring and measuring actualexpenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR(Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
- Preparation of final accounts
- Managing team workloads
- Checking andcollating commercial information from team
What are we lookingfor?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you ifyou can demonstrate:
- Relevant academic qualification – Degree / HND orequivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Relevantexperience working within teams delivering high value commercialconstruction projects
- Tier 1 Main ContractingExperience
- Strong knowledge of working underNEC / JCT Contract Conditions
