Salary: upto £44,310 per annum
Hours: 37.5hours per week Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixedterm ending December 2025; Term time only
To cover maternity leave, we are looking forenthusiastic Teachers to join our fantastic team at Higford School,part of Options Autism
In this roleyou will take a creative approach to teaching pupils in anindividualised way, ensuring delivery of their personalisedcurriculums in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and abilityto progress.
About therole
This is a great opportunity for aTeacher who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly,focusing on each individual and who is skilled at developingcreative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complexneeds. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measureand you will be working in a school where we maintain a strongsafeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected andinvolved in as many decisions as possible.
When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settlefor second best. We are looking for a Teacher experienced inteaching a range of subjects and who shares our vision to buildincredible futures by empowering vulnerable students in the UK tobe happy and to make their way in the world.
Educated to degree level and/or of Qualified TeacherStatus, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have aninnovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil toreach their potential.
Whilst previousexperience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would be desirable,excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personalqualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
Essential:
Educated to GCSE level and A level, orequivalent
QTS orequivalent
Experience ofworking with pupils with SEN, particularly ASC (highlydesirable)
Experience ofworking with pupils with challenging behaviour (highlydesirable)
Experience ofworking within a multi-disciplinary team or with a therapist(highly desirable)

OptionsHigford is a special school set in 28 acres of beautiful Shropshirecountryside. We provide a high quality, holistic education for upto 60 autistic students who also have associated behavioural needs.Class groups have five students in with at least 1:1 staffing. Weprovide personalised curriculums for each student based on theirindividual needs and aim to support them to make progressacademically, socially, with skills for life, regulating theiremotions and accessing the community.
For over16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupilsand adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. Aspart of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in settingand delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes forthose in our care.
