Insurance Advisor

We are recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Commercial Insurance Advisor to join a leading insurance broker based in the heart of Cambridge. This broker is well establishedwith 40 years in the industry and is known as the natural choice for friendly, expert advice on insurance, risk management and financial services. This Insurance Advisor role would come with a book of business as well as expectation that you would grow your book.

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm with hybrid working offered (3 days office, 2 days work from home). Basic Salary for this role is between £45-55k per annum, dependent on experience + Bonus + Car or Car Allowance + More

As Commercial Insurance Advisor you will be sales focused aiming to widen the scope of their commercial services within their Cambridge office. You will be given the autonomy to develop the business and provide expert, independent advice and be able to grow new and support existing business in the area.

We are looking for a confident communicator with enthusiasm and ambitionto provide expert and independent commercial insurance advice with support from the team with the objective of winning new business whilst managing existing accounts and developing these further.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:Previous experience as a Commercial Insurance Advisor or similarUnderstanding and application of insurance terminology and context in complicated commercial situationsAbility to provide thorough and detailed explanations to clients, using local knowledge as the advantage to develop a book of business in the area of workKnowledge and understanding of insurance product features, benefits, exclusions and warranties and application to various situationsAbility to tailor product offering to clients demands and needsTechnical experience with expert insurance knowledgeBasic knowledge of Financial Security and Claims principlesHighly computer literateIdeally you will be Cert CII qualified or in progression towards this qualification
