Electrical Design Engineer

Bradford Area

Our client, a manufacturing business based near Bradford, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Electrical Design Engineer to join their team and be an important and valued member of the team and report direct to the ops director.

Role Overview

  • Responsible for the design of all electrical configurations to meet design specifications, electrical and safety regulations
  • Liaise with customers to determine requirements on chilled water fan coil projects
  • Effectively generate customised wiring diagrams and parts lists using Autocad Electrical
  • Manage electrical drawing database
  • Document and cross reference all work carried out liaising with suppliers, sales and production representatives
  • Support the provision of all information and the approval of electrical drawings required for production.
  • Liaise closely with Applications, Engineering and Factory personnel in meeting priorities and time scales for completion of all electrical information, wiring diagrams, layouts, parts lists etc ,required for production
  • Produce first off builds for specialist projects
  • Support manufacturing in building and testing non standard product

Other Duties include:

  • Develop all Electrical Engineering Practises across the company
  • Develop new control Solutions
  • Assist in the testing and development of new products
  • Advising on electrical safety, standards and legislation
  • Provide technical support / training to other members of staff or customers

This is a permanent position where you would be expected to be on site Monday to Friday.

In return you can expect a salary of £30k - £40k dependant on previous experience, plus the potential of a profit related bonus scheme.
