What you'lldo

As a Trading ProductControl Analyst, you’ll be responsible for the daily P&L andmonthly balance sheet reporting for the bank’s trading desks whichsit within NatWest Markets. This will help the bank to effectivelymanage its trading position, demonstrate strong daily controls andenable management of marketrisk.

You’ll establish andmaintain strong working relationships with key customers andstakeholders, and deliver high quality and consistent financial,statutory, regulatory and management reporting outputs. You’llcomply with relevant policies and consider and escalate theadequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls on a regularbasis.

Day to day,you’ll:

  • Undertakereconciliations, accounting, MI and control activities to supportthe ledger close, reconciliation, substantiation andreporting
  • Support change initiatives, processimprovements and in systemimplementations
  • Prepare month-end accounting,such as journals preparation, reviews and accountreconciliation
  • Investigate process or systemissues
  • Support systems testing, such as useracceptance testing and system or process improvementinitiatives

Theskills you'll need

To succeedin this role, you’ll bring experience in core financial controldelivery and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balancesheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting andexternal audit.

We’ll alsolook to you tohave:

  • Knowledge ofinternational accounting standards
  • Experienceof delivering change in a financial servicesenvironment
  • The ability to identify, build andenhance key relationships at a seniorlevel
  • Experience of investigating and probingissues with cross-business impactAn understanding of intercompanyand contra account usage requirements and intercompanyreconciliations and substantiation
