The Role

  • Lead and deliver consultancy projects focused on energy pricing strategies across the oil (B2B and B2C) and resources (mining) sectors.
  • Implement and optimize pricing platforms such as PROS, Kalibrate, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Monitor market trends and support business development activities, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain client and partner relationships to win and deliver impactful projects.
  • Solve complex client challenges by designing tailored pricing and market strategies that align with their goals.
  • Help clients navigate the energy market transition by integrating pricing solutions with broader business strategies.
  • Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary proposals to secure new engagements.

Requirements

About You

  • Expertise in energy pricing models, including dynamic and time-of-use pricing.
  • Experience delivering consultancy projects in energy markets, covering areas like pricing strategy, tariff optimization, and market analysis.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, including renewable energy integration and demand response mechanisms.
  • Proven client-facing roles and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders confidently.
  • Exceptional numerical analysis skills, model development capabilities, and proficiency with analytical tools.
  • Previous experience in implementing pricing platforms such as PROS, Kalibrate, or similar tools like PriceAdvantage and a2i Systems PriceCast Fuel.

  • Be an excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Have a track record of auditing pricing ecosystems, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting innovative solutions.
  • Be adept at facilitating workshops and working in matrixed team structures, including client-facing roles.
