Job Title: Paralegal (Property Law)

Terms: Full-time, £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, subject to experience

About us:

We are a niche, dynamic law firm specialising in all aspects of commercial and residential property. Our small, fast-paced team is based in our modern, spacious offices in South Woodford, London. We were previously based in central London for 21 years, before moving to our current location in 2017.

About the role:

General property law paralegal supporting fee-earners on the full spectrum of property transactions including both commercial and residential matters. You will be a key member of our high achieving team and the role will involve building strong relationships with our senior fee-earners and clients. We have a proven track record in offering training contracts to our paralegals.

Responsibilities:

  • Early/mid stage transaction:

Drafting (leases, licences, loan documentation)

Managing own caseload (subject to experience)

Drafting and preparing reports

Opening files and preparing legal packs

Preparing engagement letters

Applying for searches

File management

Preparing and replying to enquiries and CPSEs

  • Pre/post-completion:

Drafting reports

Handling exchanges

Preparing invoices

Preparing completion/financial statements

Completing SDLT returns

Preparing Transfers

Assisting fee earners with file management

Please note that you will also be expected to assist with some general clerical office duties (e.g. phone answering, managing post)

Candidate requirements:
