Head Painter & Decorator - Eastbourne, East Sussex

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne are recruiting for a Head Painter/Decorator to join our Maintenance team on a full-time basis.

When you join us…

• We are seeking an experienced Head Painter and Decorator who can organise a small multi-skilled team of decorators on multiple jobs.
• You will have great attention to detail, cleanliness, and high standard of craftmanship.
• Working alongside the Maintenance Manager you will arrange materials required for the jobs.
• You will be required to assist in the main hotel with painting and maintenance work, including preventative and reactive work within the hotel bedrooms and public areas.
• You will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel carrying out other ad hoc maintenance tasks.
• You will be working within the multi-skilled Maintenance team and whilst this will be your main responsibility you will have the support of the rest of the team.

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours, five days per week, working Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required from time to time.

Interview will include a work trial.

What we need from you…

• Experience in all aspects of painting and decorating
• Be competent at achieving a high standard of finish
• Be able to work to high standards with minimal supervision
• General Maintenance experience ideally within a customer service environment
• Have excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
