Asa Maintenance Manager, you'll ensure the smooth operation andlongevity of equipment and facilities within our organisation. Yourresponsibilities encompass strategic planning, overseeingmaintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety andregulatory standards. You coordinate maintenance schedules, managemaintenance staff, and allocate resources efficiently to minimisedowntime and maximise productivity. Your keen eye for detail andproactive approach enable you to identify potential issues beforethey escalate, implementing preventive maintenance measures tooptimize performance and reduce costs. Through your leadership andexpertise, you ensure that facilities and equipment remain in topcondition, supporting the organization's operational objectives andcontributing to its overallsuccess.

  • Bachelor’s degree inengineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial,etc.).
  • Proven experience in maintenancemanagement within the food manufacturingindustry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of foodprocessing equipment, utilities, and facilitysystems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication,and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity withhealth and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmentalcompliance.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and otherrelevant software tools.

TeamLeadership:

  • Lead andmanage the maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, andsupport staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, anddevelopment opportunities for the team to enhance their skills andperformance.
  • Foster a culture of safety,collaboration, and continuous improvement within the maintenancedepartment.

MaintenancePlanning andScheduling:

  • Develop andimplement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime andmaximize equipment reliability.
  • Createmaintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and allocate resourceseffectively to meet productionrequirements.
  • Utilize computerised maintenancemanagement systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, andequipment history.
  • Equipment and FacilityMaintenance:
  • Ensure all production machineryand related equipment are properly maintained and repaired to meetoperational standards.
  • Oversee theinstallation, commissioning, and decommissioning of equipment asneeded.
  • Collaborate with production andengineering teams to optimise equipment performance andefficiency.

BudgetManagement:

  • Develop andmanage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilisationof resources.
  • Identify opportunities for costreduction without compromising quality orsafety.
  • Evaluate and procure necessarysupplies, tools, and equipment within budgetaryconstraints.
