As Head of Actuary, you'll shape policies, refine Reserving and Solvency II processes, and ensure compliance and financial stability.DAY TO DAYIn this role, you will oversee the actuarial function, ensuring the accuracy and adequacy of technical provisionsContribute to risk management strategies, provide critical insights to the leadership team, and support corporate planningResponsibilities include developing actuarial models, performing risk assessments, preparing reports for stakeholders, and advising on underwriting and reinsurance policiesAdditionally, you will guide team members in their actuarial qualification journey while continuously improving internal processes to support the company's objectivesEXPERIENCEMinimum 8 years in commercial insurance actuarial rolesPrevious exposure to personal lines pricing would be an advantageExperience in implementing pricing controls, handling complex datasets, and working in ambiguous environments is essentialSKILLSHighly analytical with exceptional numerical skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with proficiency in Excel and the capability to develop basic business modelsThe ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving challenges is crucialFamiliarity with programming languages is preferred but not mandatoryIf you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact me now on or email us atTPBN1_UKTJ
