The Amazon Middle East and North Africa team islooking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate aboutbuilding great products for our customers. The SDE-II will be basedin Amman, Jordan and must have software engineering experienceinvolving solving complex problems. They SDE-II will: 1. Design,implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutionsto transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.2. Use software engineering best practices to ensure a highstandard of quality for all of the team deliverables. 3. Write highquality distributed system software. 4. Work in an agile,startup-like development environment, where you are always workingon the most important stuff. 5. Experience with multipleprogramming languages such as Java, Python, TS, JS, and .NET. Keyjob responsibilities Were in search of a developer to constructexpansive, distributed computing solutions at a massive scale. Yourrole will involve steering the teams technical trajectory, shapingour long-term vision and architecture, and taking charge of majordeliverables from start to finish. Youll lead the way in craftingroadmaps and providing technical guidance to the engineering team.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 4+ years of non-internship design orarchitecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new andexisting systems experience. * 5+ years of non-internshipprofessional software development experience. * Experienceprogramming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, orC# including object-oriented design. * Experience designing orarchitecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new andexisting systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 4+ years of fullsoftware development life cycle, including coding standards, codereviews, source control management, build processes, testing, andoperations experience. * Bachelors degree in computer science orequivalent.
