We own systems that power retail delivery(both customer-facing and back-end), leveraging company-widetechnology solutions or designing them from the ground up.Together, DEX is changing how customers experience delivery – fromthe speed, convenience, and selection features they see on the siteevery day, to launching Prime delivery benefits and other newprograms to customers around the world. Some info about this team:* Our mission is to provide consistent, accurate, and relevantdelivery information to every single page on every Amazon-ownedsite, which means millions of customers WW will be impacted by yourcontributions. * The changes we make directly impact the customerexperience on Amazon websites on numerous platforms(mobile/tablets, desktop, set-top boxes, etc.). * This is a highlyvisible and very critical role, owning multiple tier 1 services. *We are setting up a new team in the Hyderabad Development Centerand you have the opportunity of being a founding member of theteam. A day in the life Software Dev Engineer 2 will: * Developscalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that can handlelarge volumes of data and traffic in real-time. * Participate inthe full software development life cycle, including writing clean,maintainable, and well-documented code, conducting code reviews,deploying production-ready software to Amazons infrastructure andsupporting the software in production. * Collaborate withcross-functional teams including product managers, programmanagers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-qualitysoftware solutions that meet technical and business requirements. *Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple systems andservices, collaborating with other teams as needed. BASICQUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional softwaredevelopment experience - 2+ years of non-internship design orarchitecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new andexisting systems experience - Experience programming with at leastone software programming language - Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of fullsoftware development life cycle, including coding standards, codereviews, source control management, build processes, testing, andoperations experience - Bachelors degree in computer science orequivalent - Experience building complex software systems that havebeen successfully delivered to customers - Experience programmingwith at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#including object-oriented design Our inclusive culture empowersAmazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
