JOB- Quality Inspector

LOCATION- Welwyn Garden City

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company based in Welwyn Garden City. This role involves conducting inspections to ensure components and products meet required specifications and industry standards.

The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, CMMs)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and final product inspection
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes (desirable)

The Quality Inspector role will involve:

• Conducting in-process and final inspections of components and finished products
• Using manual and automated measurement tools to check product quality
• Ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards
• Documenting inspection results and reporting non-conformances
• Assisting with continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
• Liaising with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
• Supporting audits and maintaining quality records
