Due to growth in service we are looking for Bank TeachingAssistants to join our team at our team at UnderleyGarden School based in Kirkby Lonsdale.

About the role

Thepost holder is expected to work in collaboration with the teacherto meet the personal, social and learning needs of pupils with arange of complex learning difficulties and disabilities. The mainfocus of the role is to support pupils. The post holder will beexpected to:

  • Working withthe teachers to support the learning and progress ofpupils

  • Work incollaboration with the form tutor to provide pastoral support andguidance to pupils

  • Supportthe transition and organisation of pupils throughout the 24 hourcurriculum

Specific Duties 

  • Under the guidance of the teachers,support in structured learning activities and assistindividuals/group of pupils people with theirlearning

  • Manage CYPbehaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and applyappropriate and effective behaviour management in line with schoolpolicy and individual behaviour support plans

  • To work within school policies andprocedures

  • To attend stafftraining/meetings as appropriate

  • To demonstrate good practice in confidentialitywith regard to pupils people and theirlearning

  • Contribute to andbe involved in the development and implementation of the SchoolImprovement Plan
