Role: Lifeguard & Sports Centre Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 06:30 - 21:00, including some weekends.
Salary: £25,110.00 , based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide a visible presence in the Sports Centre and assist those using the facilities as required.
- Facilitate the Lifeguarding requirements of the schools.
- Conduct the swimming pool maintenance and testing regime as required.
- Assist with sports facilities preparation for school and hire activities as required.
- Assist with complaints, questions and reported defects as they arise. Inform the cleaning contractor of any cleanliness issues and concerns.
- Update the Commercial team of any issues, concerns or observations prior to, or following the letting of the facilities.
- Assist with maintaining the Sports Centre in a condition that is safe and ready to use for school and lettings.
Experience and Qualifications:
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- Pool Plant Qualification or willingness to gain it is required.
- Experience of working in a sports centre or similar leisure facility is desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good IT skills. Ability to work under pressure.
