TheSenior Engineer role

As a resultof this major framework win, we are now seeking a Senior Engineerto join us a member of the team, responsible for the management ofa group of technical professionals in the timely execution ofoperations in both the pre-construction and construction phases ofseismically qualified concrete structures working on our 17-yearcivils and concrete structures framework for the PPP onSellafield.

  • As amember of the project team, you will be responsible for a number ofkey tasks on site, including; setting out, progress mark ups,Q&A, surveying, creating reference points, keeping records,etc. 
  • The role requires some level ofinterfacing between internal departments and external agencies,such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers,Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works and Site Staff, aswell as some coordination of sub-contractors to ensure SRMobligations to sub-contractor are understood anddischarged.
  • You'll also be involved in regularsite progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress,quality and safety, etc. to ensure the Chief Engineer and ProjectManager/Project Director are updated on all issues

 

Yourprofile

  • Ideally aDegree in civil engineering, Construction Management or relatedfield
  • Experience running more than one sectiondiscipline, preferably with experience in structuralconcrete
  • Experience on 2 or 3 major concreteprojects
  • A passion for delivering a QualityFirst product, nuclear quality compliance and assurance will driveand enable delivery
  • Technically proficient andproblem solving minds
  • Fantastic communicationskills
  • A collaborative approach to projectdelivery
