We're looking for aGeneral Foreman to join our Kier Transportation rail team and helpassist on our prestigious Oxford Station project.

What will your responsibilitiesbe?

As a General Foreman, you'llbe working within the Kier Transportation team, supporting the teamin enhancing the rail corridor between Didcot (to the south) andBanbury, Leamington, and Birmingham (to thenorth), to allow more trains to run throughout this‘spine' route, more efficiently. Your role as General Foremanis to ensure Project and Corporate Safety, Health, Environmental,Quality procedures, and standards are implemented, maintained, andcommunicated to the workforce. Ensure all site resources (labour,machinery, materials, sub-contractors) are effectively utilised andmonitored to achieve completion of projects on time and withinbudgetary constraints.

What willyour day to day duties include?

  • Deliver work packages to agreed programmes and liaisewith operational delivery teams.
  • Oversee theco-ordination of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers in yoursection of works in a planned and controlled manner ensuringefficiency and minimising costs.
  • Implementingsafe systems of work for site activities, ensuring the higheststandards of health, safety and welfare are maintained.
  • Ensure the project is safely delivered on time, to budgetand achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure project risks are identified and managed througheffective mitigation measures through the constructionperiod.

 

What are we lookingfor?

  • Experience in asimilar role within the highways and rail sector.
  • SMSTS, First Aid, PTS and CSCS are essential.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety.
