Job Overview:
Our client, a well-established financial services provider in Scotland, is looking for a professional and dedicated Mortgage Broker to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent office-based role. As a Mortgage Broker, you will be responsible for helping clients secure mortgage solutions that meet their individual needs and circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert mortgage advice to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Assess clients financial situations and recommend suitable mortgage products based on their needs.
- Guide clients through the entire mortgage process, from initial consultation to offer and completion.
- Work closely with lenders, solicitors, and other professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Stay up to date with the latest mortgage products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and build strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Achieve and exceed performance targets, including client satisfaction and mortgage completions.
- Ensure that all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Broker or Advisor, with a strong track record of success.
- Full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage products and the mortgage process.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in an understandable way.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with a range of lenders and mortgage products.
- Previous experience in a similar role in Scotland, with knowledge of local property markets.
- Strong sales and business development skills.
- Ability to provide advice on additional financial services such as insurance, equity release, etc.
