What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a friendly and warm team of 5 Welcome & Service Assistants, supported by group of dedicated volunteers.
As the public face of the property, you’ll be on your feet providing a warm and friendly welcome from both indoor and outdoor spaces. You will provide information about the estate and its history, process admission transactions, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Alongside this, you will help maintain high standards of site presentation across the property.
You will support the team to achieve performance targets and help grow support with visitors to the estate. This would include talking to our visitors about the benefits of a National Trust membership as well as highlighting how their support enables the National Trust to continue to look after the 500 special places in its care, for everyone, for ever.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.
