Volunteer Governor/ Council Member

We are seeking to recruit new volunteer members to our governing body, the Council of Cheltenham College. We are looking for people who can bring their particular expertise to add to the rich experience of our current team in guiding the schools through some challenging but exciting times for the organisation. Council members often volunteer alongside busy jobs as senior professionals. Details of the commitment can be found in the job description.

We are particularly seeking expertise in the following areas:

Accountants: fully qualified and substantially experienced, working at very senior level either in the profession or in industry. Applications from those with particular experience of Charity accounting would be especially welcome.

Property professionals:  operating at senior level (partner or director) as property professionals such as Chartered Surveyors, Architects.

IT Specialists: operating at strategic-plan setting level (IT Directors, Chief Technology Officers) and who will ideally have some understanding of the application of digital technologies in an education setting.

Ideally, alongside specialist knowledge, you will already have board-level experience (in either and executive and/or non-executive capacity).
