What you'll do

As a Business Architect you will help to define and deliver the future of the UK&I division by shaping future operating models, organisational design, and ways of working as part of the Technology Evolution function to âmake UK&I betterâ.

The success of this role will play a major part in ensuring that Flutter UKI technology becomes more than the sum of its constituent parts and continues to drive the success of the FlutterGroup. You will identify where we should be going, how we can get there, and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

The Business Architect, UK&I, reports to the Technology Evolution Director. As part of the technology evolution team, youâll work closely with the transformation team, the brands, and the functional areas in the division across technical and non-technical functions. You will act as the main business architecture representative of, and advocate for, the division in group forums.

This role requires a senior person with the gravitas required to land the strategy. The expectation is that this person will be liaising with C suite stakeholders and other senior people both within the business and with third parties. Someone with the ability to synthesise deep business knowledge and detail with higher level strategic objectives, to be an active collaborator with product to unlock business opportunities, and to deliver on the key areas of focus for the business.

Superb communication skills will be essential to ensure the business and members of the team throughout the division understand & buy in to changes in organisational design and operating

approaches.

This role requires periodic travel to Flutter locations, and other locations as required for specific events.

How you'll do it

  • Previous roles working in business change, business architecture or similar senior BA role in a complex e-commerce or online gambling business.

  • Leading or having a significant role in major technology change programmes.

  • Experience with change frameworks such as ADKAR.

  • Presenting to, influencing, and working with senior stakeholders in Technology and across the wider business (C-level, Board, Directors and Heads of Department).

  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to develop processes that provide a balance of agility and control.

  • Working in controlled and regulated environments (ideally in the gambling industry), developing controls, providing compliance documentation, and working with regulators.

  • Business architecture in an online Gambling or other highly volume transactional B2C web site.

  • Working with in-house and third-party development teams and external COTS vendors.

  • Establishing, working with, and promoting internal communities of practice and other mechanisms for promoting collaboration and learning.

  • Leading culturally and globally diverse teams to successfully deliver against team objectives.

  • Excellent people management capabilities and a track record of leading high performing professional teams through functional rather than line-management relationships.

  • History of thinking strategically, and to situate decisions against a broader context.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to modify style to influence and effectively work directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify key risks & issues, communicate them to stakeholders leveraging colleagues as needed to find solutions.

  • Communicate decisions, plans, goals and strategies.

  • Deliver change initiatives driving revenue and efficiency in-line with business strategy.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry best practices, organisational design approaches, and change management approaches.

  • Provide consulting to programs, projects and initiatives.

  • Act as the focal point for technology organisational change and transformation initiatives.

  • Lead a small team to deliver on these activities and responsibilities.
