This role works closely with the head of financial accountants although will also work closely with the CFO and the financial controller. It is planned that this role will form part of the company’s succession planning strategy in the fullness of time for the right candidate. The business is in a highly acquisitive stage in their growth with several further acquisitions in the pipeline.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to support the financial accounting function within the business and to critically review the efficiencies of the current processes. You will be expected to maintain corporate timescales in the preparation of financial accounts as well as analysing the financial accounts for several group companies.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Deliver accurate financial reporting information including monthly management accounts.Quarterly reporting of financial statements for multiple holding entities within agreed timelines.Preparation, analysis and narration of key reports for CFO as well as other internal stakeholders.Production and distribution of various operational reports to directorate and senior management level.Completion of quarterly reports and employee tax fillings.Model various financial scenario`s relating to balance sheet and cash flows.Support the annual audit including the preparation of draft financial statements.

The RequirementsTo be considered for this role you will be a professionally qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in a financial reporting role (or similar). We are looking for applicants who have an analytical mindset and who can identify process improvements and efficiencies. Applicants will be working on complex modelling projects so advanced Excel is essential. We would expect the successful applicants to have been trained in practice and who is looking for their first or second move within industry. Industries of specific appeal to our client include; manufacturing, construction, FMCG, oil & gas or renewable/clean energy.
