CCS Media are hiring for an Assistant Accountant who will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role is critical in helping CCS Media achieve its financial goals and ensuring the smooth operation of its financial processes.

Key

Responsibilities:

Daily cashflow reporting and forecastingAssisting in the production of monthly management accountsReconciliation of balance sheet control accounts for multiple companiesInvestigation of issues found in the balance sheet, working with teams outside of the finance to resolve issuesBank reconciliation for some foreign currency accountsP&L analysis reportsManagement of the fixed asset register, monthly calculation of depreciation and posting journalsSales reconciliation and reportingAccruals and prepaymentsReconciliation of the business inter-company accountsSupporting the payments process managed by the teamSome support on the management process for credit cards and expensesAssist with the reconciliation process for rebatesCompletion of SECR report (quarterly and annually), including completing of energy consumption data and reporting internally to other areas of the businessCompletion of returns for the Office for National StatisticsAssisting with the annual audit preparationSupport to the Management Accountants and Finance Manager as required
Key Skills & Experiences
AAT level 4 qualified, working towards ACCA or CIMA (study support available)Excellent advanced excel skills, including good knowledge of using pivot table, lookups, sum-ifsExperience of dealing with large volumes of dataManaging a varied workload in a busy environmentStrong technical accounting understandingAttention to detail, accuracyDynamic, proactive attitude and a desire to improve working practicesProfessional and mature mannerFlexible, team-based approach to their jobA clear, coherent communicatorPride in accuracy and attention to detail in complex financial issuesExcellent communication skills
