ProTalent is working with a reputable accountancy practice in St Ives, Cambridgeshire to recruit an Assistant Manager for their general practice firm. The Senior Accountant will manage a portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals and small-medium company directors, providing high-quality compliance services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and dynamic team.



Responsibilities:
- Provide accounting services, tax returns, and special services for clients with fees exceeding £120,000.- Develop and manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services.- Review and finalise client accounts and management accounts, utilizing accounting software.- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, review VAT returns, and submit to HMRC.- Review company secretarial work and statutory books as required.- Oversee junior staff, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a positive team spirit.- Undertake general administration tasks and support partners and managers.

Requirements:- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).- Experience in an accountancy practice.- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and VAT regulations.- Proficiency in accounting software and relevant applications.- Excellent client management, communication, and deadline management skills.- Proactive team player with attention to detail.
