We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative Teacher of Food & Nutrition/Catering who is passionate about inclusive education to join our successful and hardworking Visual Arts & Design (VAD) team at Queen’s Park High School. This post is suitable for both early-career teachers (NQTs) or colleagues seeking to develop their skills further, within a culture of high expectation and strong professional support at Queen’s Park High School. This is an exciting time for our Visual Art & Design Curriculum Team with the introduction of Key Stage 5 Food Science and Nutrition.

Queen’s Park High School is a smaller than average 11-18 comprehensive school beautifully situated, close to the heart of the historic city of Chester. The school is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted January 2020) which works in close partnership with Christleton High School, Chester International School (CIS) and Belgrave Primary School as part of The Learning Trust.

Our school vision is ‘Inspiring Individuals, Empowering Minds, Defining Futures’ and we strive constantly to improve the quality of our students’ classroom experiences in the pursuit of outstanding learning. Food Technology is a popular subject throughout the school and forms part of the Visual Arts & Design Faculty. There is a strong ethos of teamwork, sharing of good practice and a commitment to providing the best opportunities to ensure the success of our students at all levels across the school.
