Dunblane Kids Club is looking for Term time Childcare Practitioners to join our team to assist in the provision of a high quality out of school club in line with Care Inspectorate Regulations and Guidelines.

Contract type: - Term time (optional holiday hours as well)

Hours: - 15 Hours per week

Days: - Monday - Friday

Split Shifts -   Morning -    8.00am - 9.15am

                      Afternoon - 3.00pm - 5.30pm

 

Essential Requirements:

The successful candidate will already hold an appropriate qualification, e.g. HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent or SVQ3 in either Childcare and Education or Social Services (Children and Young People).

You must have previous experience in a similar setting.

You must hold or be willing to achieve your First Aid Qualification.

You must be registered with, or willing to register with the SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme.

Main Duties:

  • To prepare and participate in a variety of play opportunities that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the children and young people attending the project.
  • To participate directly with individual and groups of children within D.K.C, on premises and during outings/trips.
  • To escort children to and from the project as required.
  • To personally adhere to all project policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • To assist with the cleaning and tidying of all play equipment and materials at the end of each play session.
  • To prepare, in accordance with Health and Hygiene regulations, snacks and refreshments for the children.
  • To participate in appropriate training as agreed with the Manager.
  • To assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the play setting.
  • To attend relevant staff meetings and consultations.
  • To assist the Manager and Senior Playworkers when required.

Playwork is a profession that enriches and enhances provision for children's play. Your role as a Play Worker is to undertake all duties required to support children and young people to follow their own ideas and interests for play. You will make sure there are safe, interesting and fun play opportunities to meet children's and young people's individual and group needs.
