Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our renewable energy development platform, which as of today coversFrance, the UK, Italy and Germany. You will play a critical role in maximizing the performance of our company, the setting of our strategies, and profitability of our renewable energy projects through data management and utilization of technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization in the dynamic field of renewable energy.

Responsibilities, across all geographies where the business and its subsidiaries are present:

1. Risk Management and Monitoring:

1. Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project performance, optimization initiatives, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients. Clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

2. Growth and Strategy:

1. Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data from the renewable industry including solar, wind, or other relevant technologies. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for various stakeholders. Extract insights and support the definition of the strategy.

2. Software Utilization: Implement software tools to extract insights, perform data analysis, and identify opportunities for optimization across renewable energy projects. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and leverage software solutions effectively.

3. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

We see this role as an evolving role with responsibilities evolving with the company. An initial indicative roadmap includes

1. UK Grid Capacity/Load Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of UK grid capacity and load patterns to identify potential areas for standalone storage projects.

  • Utilize industry-standard methodologies and tools to assess grid constraints, demand trends, and opportunities for energy storage deployment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for maximizing the utilization of grid resources and optimizing storage placement.

  • Manage the work of an external consultant on UK flexibility market, use the tool provided by the consultant to model different business cases for battery storage in the UK

2. Optimize the use of GIS:

  • Explore the potential of GIS technologies to support decision-making processes and improve project planning and execution.

  • Identify opportunities and challenges in developing and integrating a robust GIS system within the organization's operations.

3. Power BI Visualization:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and objectives for data visualization using Power BI.

  • Develop visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that effectively communicate complex energy analytics.

  • Collaborate with teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant datasets to be visualized for informed decision-making and reporting.

Further Requirements:

  • Self-starter, curious, and willingness to learn

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.

  • Familiarity with energy storage technologies, renewable energy systems, and European energy markets is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present analytical findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in data management, analysis, and interpretation within the renewable energy industry.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with cross-functional teams.
