Data Scientist

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our clients dynamic Data Science team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining software applications and data pipelines to support various R&D activities. You will serve as a technical support contact for scientists and collaborate across departments to build solutions that improve data accessibility, integrity, and analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from electronic lab notebook integrations to modelling, dashboarding, and data processing.

Key Responsibilities
Develop well-documented and well-tested code in alignment with industry best practicesOptimize existing Python-based ETL scripts to streamline the input of experimental data into the data warehouseCreate and manage tools that ensure data integrity throughout the entire lifecycleBuild and maintain SQL queries to improve data accessibility for scientific and operational teamsImplement dashboards to support data accessibility across the R&D organizationDevelop automated workflows using APIsCollaborate with data and bench scientists to establish ETL operations for AI/ML, statistical, mechanistic, and hybrid modelling effortsSupport the development and deployment of models across the project lifecycleProvide technical support and training to R&D staff on in-house software toolsRigorously document all software development processesStay up-to-date with the latest trends in data engineering and software development relevant to life sciences R&D

What We're looking for:
Ability to manage multiple unrelated projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlinesBS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related fieldAdvanced knowledge of Python and SQLPrior experience in pharma or biotech (internships/placements included)Experience in software, database, or bioprocess model developmentFamiliarity with web application development frameworksExperience with dashboarding tools like Tableau, Spotfire, or PowerBI
