What you'll do

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to join the bustling hive of excitement and innovation that is our Bet Trading Tribe. Our Tribe is the touch point for all things sports book betting and trading, & our squad support our market-leading in-house Trading Engine which provides SkyBet with its innovative football pricing and maintain a great product for our customers.

Working within the sports pricing area youâll deal with large amounts of pre-match and in-play sports data. Youâll be working through challenges of how to achieve performant throughput of data, how to link data into a consistent single view, and how to reach its potential.

A tight-knit squad, we work across-functional, autonomous, agile units with the mentality of the team succeeding over personal wins. From software engineering to test & devops engineering, youâll have the opportunity to contribute across the board so you should have the ambition to continuously learn new things and expand your skill base.

Youâll work as part of a squad of talented engineers to:

  • Turn concepts and requirements into highly available web applications and systems using industry standard languages and technologies such as Kotlin, Spring Boot, Node.js, Kafka, Kubernetes as well as a range of native AWS services.

  • Actively participate in application design, database design, data-flows and detailed technical design. Ensure that analysis includes the wider view of technical and business impact.

  • Be a champion of the technologies you excel in.

  • Help suggest and coordinate engineering best practices across your peers.

  • Balance the commercial needs of the business against the ideal technical design, proposing sound phased or tactical implementations where appropriate.

  • Share your experience by mentoring more junior squad members.

  • Actively support the implementation of continuous integration to enhance deployment processes in line with delivery/release evolution plans.
