Salary – MPS1 (£30,000) to UPS3 (£46,525)

TLR - £3,933 (pay award pending)

Watling Academy is seeking a Deputy SENDCo to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of student support and integration of students with Special Educational Needs. As Deputy SENDCo, you will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure the efficient deployment of staff and resources, contributing to effective learning outcomes for all students.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to promote inclusive teaching practices, collect and interpret assessment data, and foster inclusive learning environments within the school. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting student development by assisting in transition processes, implementing intervention strategies, maintaining contact with parents/carers and providing administrative support for SEND.

Watling Academy was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. The Academy will have 1800 students when at full capacity. Watling Academy is part of the Denbigh Alliance MAT.
