12 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required

Location: Tilbury RM18 7EH

Working Hours:

  • 5 On 3 Off Night Shifts Available - Various Start Times
  • 4 On 4 Off Night Shifts Available - Various Start Times

Pay rates:

  • 5 On 3 Off Nights: £42,534.00 P/a Broken down into £186.55 P/Shift
  • 4 On 4 Off Nights: £34,121.00 P/a Broken down into £186.96 P/Shift

Extra Rate:

  • Start times available between 12 59 Shift premium of £10 P/Shift
  • Start times available between 20 59 - Shift premium of £15 P/Shift

About this role:

  • Refrigerated work You will be transporting goods that need to be kept in a chilled trailer, at a specific temperature. Full training will be provided when operating a chilled vehicle.
  • Trunking You will be driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

About You:

  • You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
  • No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Understand and able to comply with Driver s hours and WTD legislation
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
