The Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park occupies a rural setting surrounded by 16 acres of countryside and is situated 8 miles north of the Newcastle city centre. The Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park has 151 Bedrooms, 11 meeting rooms for up to 400 guests and Inn Fitness Leisure Club & Spa. We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to help maintain our high standards. The applicant must have a solid background with ability to create menus from scratch and continue to uphold the highest standards. The Head Chef will be financially aware of food costs and GP margins, they must be able to manage a kitchen efficiently and deliver team training along with ideas for generating business. What will make you perfect for the Head Chef role? A friendly and approachable persona is an absolute must. Ability to create a menu from scratch Experience in a similar role is essential A passion for delivering great food and an obsessive attention to detail ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen leaves a guest satisfied Leadership qualities with the enthusiasm and charisma to inspire your team Strict about conforming to health and hygiene regulations Excellent communication skills Show commitment and determination Have the ability to drive their staff and business forward Have the ability to work alongside the management team to develop ideas Ideally from a hotel background you will have experience of catering for large conference and events including weddings and bespoke private functions.
