Our client, an esteemed tier 1 substation construction company based in Glasgow is looking to hire a skilled and experienced project manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple SSE EPC substation builds and ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Job Description:
As the chosen project manager, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all aspects of assigned transmission and distribution (T&D) projects from inception through completion.
- Managing budgets, schedules, resources allocation effectively
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations during T&D operations
-Managing relationships with stakeholders such as contractors/suppliers/sub-contractors/clients
-Creating detailed reports on each stage of the process including progress updates
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Project management skills - Adept at planning workloads; setting objectives/goals/targets; allocating tasks/delegating authority/responsibility efficiently between team members etc;
Leadership abilities - Ability to lead cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals/objectives using good communication/influencing/persuasion/negotiation techniques.
Technical knowledge - An understanding or experience working within Transmission & Distribution sector across Power Generation / Renewables / Utilities sectors specifically substations design/construction/maintenance/upgrades etc.,
Experience required -
Minimum five years' relevant post qualification experience preferably gained within consulting engineering firms/oil/gas/power generation/renewable energy utilities industry either locally/internationally/projects spanning geographies .
The role will be a long term contract position paying a minimum of 500/day and will be OUTSIDE IR35.
