Our Clients Animal Sanctuary is a haven for horses, cows, pigs and even Emus amongst various other animals. Located in Frettenham, the sanctuary is dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for animals in need. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join the team as Animal Handlers.
Job Description: As an Animal Handler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of diverse animal residents. If you have a genuine love for animals and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives, this position is perfect for you. Your responsibilities will include feeding, grooming, cleaning, and providing compassionate care to the animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feed and water animals according to their dietary requirements.
- Maintain clean and safe living conditions for all animals.
- Provide daily care, grooming, and socialisation to ensure the animals' well-being.
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to the sanctuary manager.
- Assist with veterinary appointments and medication administration.
- Help with general maintenance tasks around the sanctuary as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for animals and a strong commitment to their welfare.
- Previous experience working with animals is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry animal feed and supplies.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
