RSPB Titchwell Marsh can be found on the north coast of Norfolk, we welcome over 75,000 visitors a year and the visitor centre has a successful café and retail offer, We are looking for a cleaner, who will be responsible for the cleaning of our offices, café, shop and public toilets. We are a popular tourist destination and we’re keen to keep the facilities cleaned to a high standard and ensure all visitors enjoy their visit.

Main duties will include:
•    Hoovering and mopping floors in our office, café, welcome hub and shop.
•    Cleaning the visitor and staff toilets; refilling toilet rolls, soap and hand towel dispensers
•    Check stock levels of cleaning materials
•    Keeping picnic areas clean.
•    Waste management, ensuring both office and public waste bins are emptied daily and kept clean. Occasional litter picking on site

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
•    Knowledge of the use of cleaning products (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)) to ensure products are used in a safe and appropriate manner.
•    Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace and manual handling.
•    Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to engage positively and communicate effectively with office, site staff and visitors
•    Experience of managing and safely transporting cleaning products around the site/office

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
•    Experience of cleaning offices or a commercial environment
•    Some experience of cleaning busy public environments
•    Being able to work as a team, and cover holidays and illness where possible

This is a 6 month part-time role for 12 hours per week (over 4 days). The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
