About the role

You will be joining our Site Team to support with general tasks including cleaning PPM task and general maintenance including repairs and painting.

To provide an effective caretaking service, to assist the Site team in all aspects of school caretaking, maintenance, cleaning and security (including locking and unlocking of the school where required)To cover annual leave (extra hours and pay) where required.To facilitate the locking/unlocking of the school following lettings (extra hours and pay)Supervising students during breaks and to sustain the welfare and safety of students, as directed.To set up the dining area and keeping the tables clean and clear of mess.To be the main relief site and canteen cover for absences which will include delivery of primary meals where applicable.Act in accordance with School policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in relation to child protection and behaviour management.To provide positive support and recording of site management tasks as assigned by the site manager.Attend relevant INSET staff training sessions and other ad-hoc meetings.To be trained in first aid and be a member of the first aid team

 20 hours per week Mon – Fri /Term Time (39 Weeks)/ Permanent

We require a key addition to our site / catering team who is:

Able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions.Experience of undertaking general cleaning and maintenance tasksExperience of undertaking general food handling/cleaning duties.Ability to have a flexible approach to hours and undertake all training requirements.Ability to be able to work under pressure.Be able to talk to children and adults in a clear and calm mannerEffective time management skillsCommitted to promoting the welfare of all children and creating a safe environment in which children can learn; considering, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
