Group Financial Controller

This is a chance for theGroup Finance Managerto establish themselves, by leading the finance team and building strong collaborative relationshipswith the Senior Leadership Team and assist in thecontinued organic growth and progress of the business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities within this role:
Preparation and reporting of Group Management AccountsAssisting in the preparation of draft annual accounts for annual AuditManagement of the day to day workloads of thetransactionalteam;Managing transactional processes adhering to monthly timetablesReview of aged debtors/creditors reportsWorking with Accounts Payable/Receivables to resolve queries, escalating if requiredOversee the European VAT reporting & Intrastat returnsPreparation of monthly reporting withinset timescalesManage payroll process ensuring robust financial controls are inplaceResponsible for accurate preparation & submission of quarterly UK VAT returnsEnsure Groups compliance with VAT / PAYE & P11D reportingMonthly reconciliations of the Balance SheetReporting & detailed analysis of revenue and gross marginOverhead variance Analysis andIntercompany AccountingMaintenance of financial policies and procedures, suggest improvements, implement and monitor ongoing financial controlSupporting the Head of Financeand wider SLTSuccessful Candidate:
QualifiedACCA/ACA/CIMA Accountant or equivalentAbility to work in a pressured and a fast moving environmentPrevious experience of dealing with Imports/Exports, EU VAT invoicing, multicurrency transactions, Translationsand FX changesProblem solver with a proactive approach,able to identify issues within area of responsibility, recommend solutions and implementing changesAbility to communicate well and forge strong relationships with the Leadership team as well as all levels of businessManufacturing experience & Group accounting is desirableAdvanced Excel skills
