Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy is a part of Future Generation Trust who are a growing Trust of primary phase academies in Staffordshire.

Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy is a vibrant and nurturing school dedicated to fostering a love for learning in every child. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for the academic, social, and emotional development of your pupils, preparing them for the transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motivate students, ensuring they achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, fostering a love for learning and encouraging pupils to become independent and resilient individuals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupils' academic and personal development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and promote the school’s values.

     

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification.
    • Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can demonstrate a proven track record of securing good progress
    • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
    • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to inspire and engage pupils with diverse learning needs.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
