Mercer is seeking a strong self-motivated Real Estate Funds Investment Specialist to join our European Real Estate Investment Team in London

The European Real Estate Investment Team produces investment research on a broad range of investment managers and delivers real estate investment solutions to Mercerâs client base.

What can you expect?

  • You will become an integral part of the European Real Estate Investment Team responsible for research coverage and investment execution in the area of UK and European Real Assets strategies.
  • Under guidance of a senior team member, you will be responsible for the maintenance of investment research on UK and European core property funds.    
  • In this role you will also have the opportunity to assist with the due diligence and fund selection of other real estate strategies, such as Affordable Housing, Value-Add, and Real Estate Debt.
  • Additionally, you will develop an understanding of real estate portfolio construction and manager selection methodologies and provide support in the management of such portfolios.

We will rely on you to:

  • Prepare updates to existing research documents on UK and European core real estate strategies.
  • Act as the central resource for consultants and clients on our views on UK and European core real estate strategies. Work with consultants to deliver fund searches in these areas.   
  • Collect data, information, and opportunities from selected real estate investment managers to serve the investment pipeline of Mercerâs clients.
  • Provide general support to the research and due diligence efforts of the Real Estate Team globally.

What you need to have: 

  • Good knowledge of UK/European Real Estate Funds sector
  • Previous investment based experience with Real Estate industry
  • An eye for detail and strong analytical skills to evaluate fund and portfolio performance.
  • Well-versed in quantitative applications (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg) and MS applications.
  • Strong, proven written and oral communication skills coupled with solid interpersonal skills.
