Our client is seeking a Senior Back End Developer to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative and inclusive team, working on exciting projects that make a real difference. What you'll do:
As a Senior Back End Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining server-side web application logic. You will collaborate closely with your team members, bringing your expertise in managing server-side logic, database administration, and optimising system performance. Your commitment to creating reusable code and libraries will contribute to the efficiency of future projects. Your understanding of accessibility and security compliance will be crucial in this role.

* Developing and maintaining back end services with focus on performance optimisation.
* Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
* Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
* Implementing data storage solutions and ensuring security compliance.
* Managing hosting environments, including database administration and scaling applications to support load changes.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Back End Developer position brings a wealth of experience in back end development or a similar role. You have an in-depth understanding of the entire web development process, from design through to deployment. Your hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, Ruby, PHP, and Python sets you apart. Your familiarity with front-end languages enhances your ability to collaborate effectively with front-end developers. Your excellent analytical and time management skills enable you to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.

* Proven experience as a Back End Developer or similar role.
* In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, deployment).
* Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python.
* Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
* Excellent analytical and time management skills.
* Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
