Job Spec Details


Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter. Working on welding 2 to 4 inch pipe mainly with TIG also 3 to 6 inch pipe with MMA as required. Other work such as fabrication of pipe & suppoorts and fitting work. Pipe Fitter. Completing work on specialised fire suppression systems, on governent buildings, office buildings, data centres etc. Working on industrial & commercial specialised pipe work & fire suppression & sprinkler systems. Fabrication & installation of mm to 28 mm pipe work mainly. Working on specialised small bore pipe work, plus other types. Must be able to measure, mark up and bend pipe to tight tolerances.
Using hand Benders & Machine Benders. Also working on screwed & fabricated pipe work systems, if required. Plus fitting valves and pumps etc. Pipe Fitter - Improver, Semi Skilled, Mate - Completing work on Piping & Mechanical Systems, plus specialised fire suppression systems, on hotels, office buildings, process plants etc. Assisting Engineers & Fitters with their work as required.

Hours of Work = 0700 to 1730 plus overtime as required Mon to Fri plus weekends if required Pay = Engineer/Skilled Trade = £25 + per hr Mon to Fri, £29 + Sat and £32 + Sun and Improver/Semi Skilled or Mate = £17 to £20 + per hr
Term of Work = 4 to 13 weeks + subject to attendance, performance, work load. Could be longer term on Temp/Contract basis and pos some Perm roles.

Quals = C&G or NVQ 3 Pipe Fitting, Sprinkler Fitting, or Mechanical Fitting etc
Safety Cards/Certs = CSCS Card, or ECITB Safety Passport, IPAF/MEWP, PASMA
Ideally Security Clearance for Governmnet Buildings
