What is the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Savings Business in a key role supporting the identification of opportunities to optimise and improve UK Savings business performance, decision making and customer strategies.

In this role you will:

In this position you will support delivery and development of UK Savings business intelligence to meet current and future UK Savings Business needs working closely with our centralised Digital, Data and Analytics functions.

  • Deliver UK Savings Business Unit self-service aspects of management information, insight and analysis dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to support current and future Savings Business needs.
  • Provide agile responses to business critical information requests which cannot be serviced via available static MI and reporting.
  • Act as the 'interlock' between UK Savings Business and UK/Group Data, Reporting & Analytics functions including leading the BAU request prioritisation backlog with DDAS on behalf of UK Savings business and representing UK Savings Data Owner inputs and governance requirements.
  • Own Data principle/definitions for UK Savings and Data Owner inputs for Data Governance requirements and Business Change requests.
What will make you stand out?
  • Experience of working in BI or Reporting Roles (preferably financial services)
  • Shown experience as a Power BI Developer (including DAX queries and functions
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent data visualisation and report design skills.
  • Experience of Project Management and managing development pipelines
  • Knowledge of SQL and data querying
  • Experience with VBA for Excel automation
  • Knowledge of key value drivers in Savings/Consumer Financial services
  • Experience of UK consumer regulatory environment and customer journeys
  • Good communicator, problem solver and critical thinker
  • Ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems
  • Self-starter able to take initiative, define annual roadmaps and plans and lead delivery
  • Collaborative style, influencing and persuading stakeholders and partners in matrix organization with ability to tailor communication to audience

The UK Personal Savings Business is part of Savings & Lending business unit and has full P&L, customer experience, risk and regulatory responsibilities for all Consumer Savings products sold under Post Office, AA and Bank of Ireland UK in the UK, including Northern Ireland.
