About the role:
We are currently seeking a Trainee Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join Tresham College at Corby/Wellingborough Campus.
As a Lecturer you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
- Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
- Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
- Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
- Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (8202, 2365 or equivalent).
- A willingness to achieve a Level 3 Electrical installations qualifications (C&G L3 2365 or equivalent)
- Have 18th Edition
- Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education or equivalent
- GCSE Maths and English grade A-C or equivalent
- Either recent experience of working in UK Electrotechnical industry OR recent experience of teaching and assessing on a range of programmes and levels.
- Knowledge of the current developments in UK Building Services
- Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
- Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others’ expertise and contribution
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
